In October of this year I will be photographing the wedding of Greg Quadagno and Tara Martin. Part of their wedding package included an engagement session which is a fun and integral part of beginning the process of your wedding photography. My engagement sessions usually last around 2 hours and are a very relaxed and laid back approach to photography. We get together and make some amazing images in the comfort of your own home, your favorite park, bookstore, coffee shop, where you proposed or even where you had your first date! These images come in handy as your wedding comes closer by utilizing them in the form of save the date cards or what Greg and Tara are using them for, a customized sign in guest book! The quest book gives some pizzaz to the standard sign in book. Your friends and family can actually enjoy flipping through the pages of it to see some beautiful images of a couple sharing their love for each other, instead of just signing a bland and un-interesting lined guestbook.
I have known Greg for well over ten years, from when we used to play local shows together when he was in the band Neptune 66. He since then has shaped his career working as an amazing hair stylist at the Essencia Salon in Palm Beach Gardens (which I also did the photos for) and running his own blog at http://thehairstylistblog.com/ Tara and I actually first met through an old roomate of mine in Orlando around 5 years ago. It is an incredibly small world because up in Gainesville, FL Tara and Greg met through friends of friends, and started forging the beginnings of an amazing relationship!
“We met in Gainesville through friends of friends…I first met Marc (Greg’s older brother) and really had no thoughts of dating Greg when I first met him. We were both in our own world at the time. It wasn’t until about 4 years later that one fateful night brought us together. I had moved back home and came to Gainesville to visit and went out with my girlfriends and Greg happened to be out. All my friends wanted to leave and I stayed and hung out with Greg and his friend. We completely hit if off and started hanging out more and more. I moved back to Gainesville and after about a month we started dating!” – Tara
Tara and Greg now live here in West Palm Beach and work together at Essencia Salon. Tara says that they are really a great balance at work together. “It’s so nice to be able to see each other every day and be apart of each others worlds. Many couples spend the whole day away from each other and have just a little time at the end of the day to hang out and catch up, so it is really nice being able to spend so much time around each other. We know that at home there is no work talk, its all about home life and quality time. We just want to have a family and live happily…preferably being able to travel together and learn, explore, and grow together. ”
They love nature, bike riding, taking their dog Vegas out and about, exploring their town, going out to eat, going to the gym and working out together. Tara enjoys making things out of felt, particularly animal costumes, reading as many books as she can get her hands on, learning German, spending quality time with her cats Pua and Pouncer, laying under trees on beautiful Florida days, and many other great hobbies and interests. Greg LOVES anything hair. Styling hair, teaching about hair, hair fashion, hair hair hair. He also has an extreme passion for the New York Jets. He enjoys reading the Jets blog and then telling Tara about all the sticky details and nothing can take him away from the game. (not even an engagement shoot as I found out the day we shot!) He also loves riding his road bike all around the place and loves silly cheesy sitcoms. Tara and Greg also have matching vintage his and hers bicycles that were specifically sold only as a pair which used as a part of this shoot!
I am super excited to witness and capture the moments to come during Greg and Tara’s wedding in October, and there will definitely be more bloggage after the special day! Feel free to take a look below at some of the other images from our session together and be sure to get in touch with me using the contact form if you are interested in booking a session!
